Impressions in Oil
At a very young age I was fascinated with light and shadow patterns and how sunlight fell on objects and nature’s scenes. Inspired by the bright colors and brushwork of the impressionists my own style is a combination of their techniques and capturing a moment that evokes a memory or tells a story.
I have studied with several Texas artists and especially appreciate Phillip Wade with the Austin Museum of Art for encouraging me in the avenues of expression that are important to me. There are amazing things and places to see in the world of nature and everyday life. I hope I have captured some of those wonderful moments.
